ZULULAND’S Celimpilo Gumede (16), currently in Grade 10 at Durban High School, has been selected to attend the SARU U16 assessment camp in Paarl from 2 to 6 October.
The No 8 will attend the training camp, which is part of a high performance programme for promising schoolboy players identified by selectors.
The players are given advice on vital components such as conditioning, correct training and mental skills development.
The identification and early development of a strong schools group provides the SA U20 squad with a bigger group of well-developed youngsters to choose from.
