Marshmallows for Africa melt hearts

Gospel Girl multiplies the marshmallows

SANTA Claus and the Easter Bunny thought they had some aces up their sleeves to gather young followers for life, until they met their Moses – ‘Gospel Girl!’.

Gospel Girl distributes truckloads of marshmallows and other supplies to the children of rural Zululand.

While Santa Claus, after being exposed to Zululand’s blazing heat, is being treated for heat exhaustion in a rural clinic and Bunny hopped back to Europe on the first flight from OR Tambo, Gospel Girl has made several sweet marshmallows deliveries to children and churches throughout rural Zululand – all for free and no strings attached.

Gospel Girl wears the original brand – ‘Since 00000’.

Like all good shepherds, she dons leather sandals, but hers are actually clean in the mornings.

With her Colgate smile and angelic face, she radiates goodness, kindness, love and patience with the kind of sincerity which makes even jailbirds cry.

With the good pastor behind the wheel, passengers pray out loud and quote scripture as if their last minutes on earth have arrived.

Gospel Girl, aka Pastor Caroline Pitout, is the regional co-ordinator of Judea Harvest, the organisation that procures and dispatches large consignment of goods.

An evangelist in bone and marrow, she says rural Zululand is her passion – and she will continue to distribute the Good News with a dash of sweetness – as long as her bakkie lasts or until the rapture.
