Saturday sport feast bonanza

There will be market, car and food stands and big screen rugby at 9.35am

LOCALS are encouraged to come out and support the Mancosa Empangeni Rugby Football Club’s multi sport and family day on Saturday.

For the sport lovers, the day’s action will start off with a 25km fun mountain bike ride at 7am, leaving from Mick Kelly Park.

No helmet, no ride.

There will be a 10km run/ walk starting at Addison Park at a cost of R30 at 7.30am, followed by a 7-a-side hockey tournament at 8am at Addison Park.

The touch rugby tournament will start with registration at 9.30am, with kick-off scheduled for 10am at Mick Kelly.

The sports day will end off at noon with a 6-a-side cricket tournament at Addison Park. For those looking for entertainment, there will be a Bootcamp demonstration at 11am, SAPS dog show at noon and music performances from Peter Gough (3pm), Hennie Coetzee (6pm), Bernie William (7.30pm) and Angus Band (9pm) at Mick Kelly Park.

There will be market, car and food stands with a kids’ zone from 9am and big screen rugby at 9.35am.
