Local architect in country’s top three

Architects were invited to present their vision

THE Alliance Francaise de Durban – a non-profit educational, social and cultural organisation – has announced the name of the architect chosen to re-imagine its premises to embrace the innovative ‘Without walls’ initiative.

Mtunzini and eShowe-based architect Jeremy Steere was awarded third place in a competition challenging leading architects to ‘imagine a world without walls’.

Architects were invited to present their vision of this philosophy.

The three short-listed architects were Paul Wijgers (winner), runner-up Amanda Lead and Steere.

The competition criteria and process was guided by American architect Andrew Caruso.
