Four arrested for Melmoth triple murder
Pregnant woman among three family members brutally slain in Melmoth

POLICE reacted swiftly to arrest four suspects in connection with a brutal triple murder near Melmoth on Thursday.
Melmoth detectives and the Glencoe K9 unit worked tirelessly following leads about the whereabouts of the suspects.
The four, aged between 16 and 21, were traced and arrested at their homesteads in the Zululiyaduma area near Melmoth.
They will appear in the Melmoth Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The family was attacked at around 1am on Thursday morning and found by police a short while after the attack.
A 49-year-old mother, her son (23) and daughter (27) were brutally hacked with a bush knife and shot to death.
A fourth family member, a 30-year-old woman, survived the attack and was taken to hospital where she is reported to be in a critical condition.
The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.
