Man fakes injury to rape teen
The suspect apparently collapsed on the ground as a result of a leg injury
A YOUNG girl’s sympathy for an ‘injured man’ in Mkuze on Thursday ended in an evening of horror.
The 18-year-old was walking to her friend’s place of work at around 5pm when she came across the suspect who had apparently collapsed on the ground as a result of a leg injury.
Answering his call for help, she approached him when the perfectly healthy male suddenly drew a knife and forced her to accompany him to his homestead, where he sexually assaulted her.
A rape case was opened at the Mkuze SAPS on Friday and the 22-year-old suspect was arrested.
He was expected to appear in the Mkuze Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
