Unit secures two more rape convictions

THE Empangeni Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit has been lauded for securing two convictions in rape cases.

Paulos Mngomezulu (63) was last week sentenced to 10 years behind bars for the repeated rape of a 15-year-old girl between May 2013 and November 2014.

Bongumusa Mshaba (26) was sentenced to eight years in prison for the rape of a 16-year-old in her own home. Both cases were heard in the Empangeni Regional Court.
