Swift-Goddard team claim the honours
Competitors followed a 4 Ball Alliance format over 18 holes
LOCAL golfers flocked to the Empangeni Country Club on Saturday in support of the club’s annual golf day, which saw the team of Brian Swift, Kim Swift, Brian Goddard and Andrew Goddard claiming the bragging rights for 2016.
The four-ball managed to smash long pin-point drives, land accurate chips and sink long putts, which resulted in 94 points being carded.
Competitors followed a 4 Ball Alliance format over 18 holes.
T Mdluli, C Biyela, S Hlela and M Hadebe also played a round of ‘magic’ golf, which saw the team finish in second spot after carding 88 points.
Victor Mbuyazi and his troops, S Khumalo, S Sibiya and G Sibiya managed 87 points to snatch third place.
