Fairfield take polo honours
After great end-to-end action within the five chukkas, it was Fairfield that ended on top.
POLO players from all over the country embarked on a journey which lead them to the KwaMbonambi Polo Club where eight teams participated in the local club’s annual tournament.
Teams competed in two divisions, in a round robin format over Friday and Saturday, with play-offs taking place on Sunday.
After a successful tournament, Fairfield took on Kokstad in the A Division finals.
After great end-to-end action within the five chukkas, it was Fairfield that ended on top.
The B Division final saw two local sides taking each other on with Walkie Talkies battling Young Guns.
Just like the pool match, Walkie Talkies were once again better than their younger counterparts.
Overall the tournament was a great success, with many friendships being rekindled and new ones being made.
