Political poster battle in Brackenham

Several boards had to be removed from electricity poles last week after they were damaged.

BRACKENHAM resident and ward 26 candidate, Leslie Joseph, has condemned the vandalism of the African National Congress (ANC) political posters in Brackenham.

Joseph said several boards had to be removed from electricity poles last week after they were damaged.
Adding to his frustration, he said he received a threatening call and also uncovered a dead dog and cat buried in his front yard.

The animals were buried during the night and Joseph believes the perpetrators jumped over his wall as the gate was not tampered with.

‘This is a major concern for us as people are deliberately going around and destroying our party boards in the suburb.

‘We have to remove more of them this week as they have been tampered with.
‘We cannot be at every light pole monitoring the boards, but appeal to the public to report such acts,’ said Joseph.
