A record turnout on Monday night by residents of Empangeni has succeeded in placing pressure on officials to react to concerns over escalating crime levels.
A second meeting has been confirmed and is set to take place tonight (Friday) at Amble Inn from 5.30pm.
The KZN MEC for Human Settlements and Public Works, Ravi Pillay, as well as a representative from the Civilian Secretariat for the Police Service in KZN will be in attendance.
It has also been confirmed that City of uMhlathuze Mayor Mdu Mhlongo will be in attendance.
