Business Women’s Conference 2016
'An Inspirational dance for change' is the theme for the Zululand Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 2016 Business Women’s Conference
MASTER of Ceremony of the Business Women’s Conference is the vivacious Beauty Ramapelepele who needs little introduction and is well-known for her comedy acts.
The keynote speaker for this year’s glittering event is the ever elegant Gerry Rantseli Elsdon. She became a familiar face to many when she hosted the first Big Brother South Africa, but since then, she has enjoyed an illustrious career as an international speaker and MC, having shared a stage with many world renowned names, from UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to actor Sean Penn and on quite a few occasions our beloved former President Nelson Mandela.
Locally, Gerry Rantseli Elsdon has been the glamorous face of Avon and Swarovski Crystals but it is her social activism and humanitarian work with the International Federation of the Red Cross and the World Health Organisation that makes her the proudest.
She has recently returned from summiting Mount Kilimanjaro with the Nelson Mandela Foundation on behalf of the Caring4Girls Campaign to ensure the distribution of sanitary towels to a minimum 270 000 rural girls across our country.
The BWC’s guest speaker is Phumele Ndumo, the renowned author of Debt to Riches , a book that addresses the financial problems of ordinary South Africans who are battling with garnishee orders, admin orders, debt counselling, paying university fees, buying homes etc.
She talks to ordinary people in their own language about finance issues and her book is for every South African who is in and who wants to avoid debt. It is for parents who have dreams of taking their children to university but battling with finances for that. It is for the young who are still starting out with their own finances.
The BWC speakers promise to steal our ears and attention with informative and grasping addresses that will leave our attendees more knowledgeable.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 25 May at 6pm at the Umfolozi Casino.
With only a handful of tickets available, last minute bookings can be done by contacting Silindile Zama at the ZCCI on telephone 035 797 1800.
