Nkandla budget ticks the boxes

Councillor says budget would always consider the youth by improving education as a part of lifting up the the economy of the municipality.

‘ALTHOUGH R181-million is not enough for our municipality, where many in the community are unemployed, we are committed to doing all we can to improve the lives of our people as we continue with our service delivery.’

That was the pledge from the Mayor of Nkandla Councillor Thamsanqa Ntuli during a budget road show held at Vumanhlamvu sports ground on Thursday.

He said the budget would always consider the youth by improving education as a part of lifting up the the economy of the municipality.

‘As government ours is to ensure that there is good relationship between our offices and the community we serve.

Cllr Ntuli gave special thanks to contractors who are doing the final phase of electricity installation.

‘ We are always pleased and proud when the auditors’ inspection of the budget approves our use of funds and we are granted a clean audit,’ said Ntuli.
