Students glean business knowledge

Students were given the tools to become entrepreneurs at the University of Zululand in Richards Bay

‘YOU must experience the absolute worst, before you experience the absolute best.’

Those were words of Richards Bay businessman. Vaughn Fouché (23), when he delivered the keynote address during the Entrepreneurship Seminar at the University of Zululand in Richards Bay on Friday.

Giving advice to inspiring entrepreneurs and students, the ‘Cup-boom’ owner shared his knowledge, tips and guidelines to ensure a successful business.

‘Know your goals, even though there will be obstacles. Ensure the service standard is always high, and connect with other business people. The key is not to give up,’ he said.

The annual event was organised by Hospitality Management students.

It aimed to alleviate socio-economic challenges by encouraging students to become entrepreneurs.

Students were offered information on starting their own businesses, developing ideas and work opportunities around the world.
