Skills training plays vital role

Zelda Warren, a potter from Empangeni is facilitating the ceramic training and is providing the trainees with the basic skills, encouraging each individual to explore their own creativity.

 

THE Zikulise Community Upliftment Project’s Entrepreneur Skills Training Centre based in Empangeni has given 13 privileged individuals the opportunity to participate in a 15-day ceramic development and business skills course.

These include five members from the Nawe Zifunze Disabled Association.

Zelda Warren, a potter from Empangeni is facilitating the ceramic training and is providing the trainees with the basic skills, encouraging each individual to explore their own creativity.

‘The training is great and I will do my best to teach others what I have learnt,’ said trainee Nqobile Msweli, who sells apples, biscuits and chips every day to pay for her transport to the centre.

‘I don’t want to miss a day, I’m benefitting so much.’
