I AM a resident of uMhlathuze Village, and have been since 2010.
This place used to be so quiet and peaceful, and I enjoyed living here.
But lately I regret my choice. There’s a problem with a sound system that is played near our dam every Sunday.
We don’t know the people responsible for this, as the residents we were not informed about this gig.
It’s hard to listen to our own televisions or radios in the house.
Our kids are battling to study because of this noise, and it starts early until late.
Secondly, we are facing the problem of house breaking and theft in our houses, which brings concern about safety in this area .
Criminals are breaking into houses constantly and we don’t know what to do now.
We ask our municipality to urgently intervene on this matter.
