Politicians focusing on wrong issues

AS we are slowly approaching voting season, we are witnessing different political parties gathering in stadiums elaborating their different visions for the country.

I have noticed, though, that every gathering is almost becoming an anti-Zuma campaign.

Zuma isn’t everything that is wrong with this country, our politicians have made the Nkandla issue central to all the problems we are currently facing.

No one speaks of the youth who are struggling to acquire employment, nobody talks about teenage pregnancies, drug use and the spread of HIV in rural areas especially among young people.

We voted the ANC to parliament to be our voice but it seems we are now in the shadow of Zuma and his Nkandla and that’s all they care about.

Zuma isn’t the whole South Africa – the main focus should be the citizens and their needs.
