THE eShowe Rugby Team put in a great effort going down 22-17 in their Stewart’s Shield match against eSikhaweni on recently.
Trailing by 12 points at half time thanks to two tries and a conversion, eShowe fought back with two tries, a conversion and a penalty in the second half.
Unfortunately for eShowe, however, eSikhaweni bounced back with two more tries, which they were unable to convert.
Try scorers for eSikhaweni were Lindani Myeni and Fish Mlondo who scored two each, while Ntokozo Hadebe put over the solitary conversion.
For eShowe, Mae Doeseb and Theo Mthalane crossed the line, while Gladwell Maduna converted one try and the penalty.
