EMPANGENI Preparatory pupils enjoyed a bright, colourful and musical start to the day after the Grade 3 class recited 21 famous nursery rhymes back-to-back for their fellow peers.
The performance was also an opportunity to practice for the 2016 Zululand Eisteddfod as the pupils gear up to take part in drama, song and dance.
The Zululand Eisteddfod begins at the end of May with the High School Art on show at the Museum.
All other activities run from the end of July through the month of August at different venues in Richards Bay and Empangeni.
The committee is keeping the entry fees low so that all pupils have the opportunity to take part.
The Zululand Eisteddfod is a non-profit organisation and the entry fees are to cover the costs of the adjudicators and their assistants.
The fee is R25 per individual entry and R20 per person for duets, trios and quartets, including school dance groups.
The entry for larger groups, choirs, ballet and modern dancers range between R80 and R270.
If your school has not received an Eisteddfod Book please send an email to graaitjie01@yahoo.com or contact Empangeni High.
Any sponsorship toward the event will be gladly accepted.
