
THE Richards Bay-based SAPS Seaborderline task team showed their effectiveness with three major successes over the past week.
They tracked, traced and recovered a BMW stolen on 19 March from the Lakeside Mall parking area where it had been left securely locked by its Brackenham owner.
The vehicle, which also contained a cell phone and cash, ended up in Pietermartizburg via Ladysmith.
The team also recovered a Kia Picanto and arrested a suspect on Tuesday at the Umfolozi Casino.
The vehicle, which had a tracking device, had been reported stolen in Brakpan.
Also on Tuesday, the team responded to reported shootings at eNseleni, where they arrested two suspects for attempted murder and recovered a number of cartridges.
The suspects were detained at the Empangeni police cells.
The task team comprises Const ND Dube, Sgt ED Ntshangase, Const ML Mathenjwa, Sgt ZM Biyela, Const FN Mkhwanazi and Sgt PP Ncanana.
