Join the Walk for Water tomorrow!

Prepare to bolt in blue to help the flow of H20 in Zululand

GET your crew dressed in blue and join the big Walk for Water tomorrow morning (Saturday) at the City of uMhlathuze Civic Centre grounds.

The entry fee is only a 5-litre bottle of water per person.

The event will collect water to distribute to severely drought-stricken communities and raise awareness of the dire need for all community members to save every drop of the precious resource.

Registration will start at 7.30am followed by a fun warm-up session with Virgin Active and an address by City Mayor Mduduzi Mhlongo.

The walk will be a loop around North Central Arterial and Bullion Boulevard ending back at the municipal grounds where various food stands will be ready to sell boerewors rolls, curries, cupcakes, popcorn, ice lollies, pizza, bacon and egg rolls and hotdogs.

A kids entertainment area with jumping castles and face painting will also keep the little ones happy.

Free giveaways, including water cans, buckets, gym towels and backpacks, will be handed out and the walkers with the ‘best selfie’ and ‘best board’ with a creative water slogan will win hampers.

Visit the Walk for Water Facebook page to share your photos from tomorrow and express your commitment to this worthy cause.
