They are charged with public violence, malicious damage to property and arson.

MORE than 100 protesters arrested last Monday in iSithebe near Mandeni have been released on free bail.

The suspects appeared in the eShowe Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday after proceedings were delayed by the accused providing false information to the court.

They are charged with public violence, malicious damage to property and arson.

According to KZN SAPS spokesperson, Major Thulani Zwane, the suspects were all released on a warning and told to again appear in court on 16 June.
