AN eSikhaleni police officer, a member of the Empangeni Public Order Policing Unit, died when his house went up in flames in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to police reports, Officer S’thembiso Duze (37) was alone in his house at the time of his death. The cause of the fire is unknown.
eSikhaleni SAPS Spokesperson Lt T Mkhumane said initial forensics investigations at the scene showed foul play could not be ruled out.
