Mini cricket buzz at Veldenvlei

Eight schools competed in the annual Veldenvlei Mini Cricket Festival

MINI cricket action continued at the weekend when Veldenvlei Primary School hosted its annual festival, which saw eight schools competing.

Teams aged U7 to U9 played two games each and consisted of eight players, with each player batting and bowling for 6 balls.

Schools that competed were Arboretum, Richards Bay Christian School, Richardia, Empangeni Christian School, Grantham Park, Bay Primary, Heuwelland and Veldenvlei.

The mini cricket action continues this Saturday when Richards Bay Christian School hosts the KFC Mini Cricket Festival at the uMhlathuze Regional Sports Complex.

Action gets underway at 9am until 1pm.
