Music man on a mission

Community invited to support music concert and help raise funds for food project

RICHARDS Bay artist and musician, Daniel Muyambo aka ‘Denurz’ is using his talent to raise funds to support charities.

The 29-year-old who released his first album last year, Frozen Time Mix Tape is hosting a fund-raising event, ‘Support Denurz – feed the children charity music concert’ to raise money for the Hungry Henry food project outreach project by the Church of Christ in Empangeni.

The concert takes place this Friday at Andy’s Sports Bar in Haiti Mall in Richards Bay and the show starts at 10pm.

There is a line-up of live performances from two United Kingdom based bands, X-Vita and Lion Paw as well as a host of local artists incorporating a fusion of Afro pop, hip hop and reggae music.

Muyambo said the feeding scheme provides food to needy families and the entry fee of R30 will be donated to the charity project.

‘Guests can also bring along non-perishable food items and refreshments will also be on sale.

‘My mission is to use my passion and love for music to help the poor and hopefully see these music concerts raise awareness about community projects and also expose our local talent,’ said Muyambo.
