UPDATE: ARV dealer granted bail of R7000

NGWELEZANE Magistrate’s Court today granted 37-year-old Nombuso Sithole, who was caught selling stolen ARV medication, bail of R7000.

She was arrested on 10 February during a sting operation by police and was in possession of ARV’s with a street value of more than R300 000.

As condition of her bail, she must report to the Ngwelezane police station every Friday and must inform police if she plans to leave the magisterial jurisdiction of Empangeni.

A throng of protestors gathered outside the court house, saying she should not be allowed bail.
