WHEN you first meet Kwazikwakhe Zungu(25) aka DJ Facebuk, his passion for music is quite evident.
Not only does he have the burning desire to influence change through music – but has set the bar high for other musicians.
This weekend, the young emerging master of spin from the rural heart of Nkonjeni Reserve in Ulundi, will release his latest single titled Vuka.
He will introduce his work to the audience at Sopranos Lounge in eSikhaleni on Thursday, followed by action packed Joe Cools in Durban on Friday night.
The final year law student at the University of Zululand uses music to motivate his peers.
His music includes motivation fused with a soulful house element.
‘I love to produce music that inspires others. I get to motivate people, especially the youth, about many things. I believe we can always use music to transform each others’ lives, and make a difference,’ he said.
DJ Facebuk has definitely made a name for himself and has worked with giants in the game.
He was recently featured on Igagasi FM, and worked with hip hop giant Zuluboy, Vumar and DJ Mzokoloko.
During his career, the rising star has entertained fans at huge musical concerts including Umgido Festival, uMhlathuze Music Festival and Ndumezulu Music Fest.
His latest composition is set to hit the airwaves in many radio stations this Friday.
