NOT quite under cover, but certainly under water, 28 members from police dive units all over South Africa were training in the Port of Richards Bay this week.
Forming part of their ongoing preparation for emergency incidents, among other tasks was to inspect the hull of a ship to check whether explosives may have been attached by the ‘bad guys’.
As luck would have it, the luxury passenger liner Silver Cloud was in port and proved a perfect vessel for the upskilling exercise.
