Huge police hunt for serial rapist
Another serial rapist has been terrorising a Zululand community, having claimed 10 victims so far

ARMED and brazen, he kicks down doors and drags women from their beds in the middle of the night.
He forces them from the safety of their homes at gunpoint and, with a stocking pulled over his face, he takes them to a secluded spot of bush or an abandoned house where he rapes them.
So far, 10 victims have come forward and reported the exact same story, and the man continues to terrorise the community of KwaNdaya Reserve near eSikhaweni.
According to Colonel Makhosi Ncube of the Empangeni Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit, the suspect strikes between 2am and 3.30am in the morning.
‘He has a pistol and pulls a stocking over his head. So far, none of the victims have been able to help us compile an identikit or provide us with any sort of description of the attacker,’ she said.
‘The incidents occurred between February and October last year, with the victims aged between 18 and 27. One girl was 13 years old.’
According to Colonel Ncube, the rapist did not wear a condom during the attacks.
‘We have managed to obtain DNA samples from rape kits done on each of the victims,’ she said.
‘Right now we are waiting for the results to come back and we will be able to move forward with the investigation.’
Anyone with information regarding the incidents or who the suspect might be, is requested to contact Colonel Ncube or Constable Duncan Boardman at the Empangeni FCS unit on 035 9019600.
