Sangoma’s vision expands search for missing man
Mystery surrounds the disappearance of the man whose vehicle was discovered by police parked unlocked on the bridge.
A SEARCH operation by SAPS Search and Rescue members for a man who it is believed jumped off the Enseleni River bridge on 16 January, is stretching into its second week.
Mystery surrounds the disappearance of the man whose vehicle was discovered by police parked unlocked on the bridge.
The man, whose identity is being withheld by police, apparently went missing at 10am.
A note was found inside the car with details of his family members and his address.
A Search and Rescue diver confirmed that the search mission was being hindered by the large number of water hyacinths in the river, as well as a lack of witnesses.
A source close to the investigation said the family have meanwhile visited a sangoma, who told them the missing man would be found hanging from a tree.
The search has since been expanded to include the bushes in the vicinity of the river after this information was shared with police, and will continue intermittently until the man is found.
