RAZOR wire and an electric fence did not deter criminals at a Richards Bay complex during the early hours of the morning – they simply removed bricks from the wall to gain entry.
This gave them access to one of the units, where a handbag, money, laptop and cell phone were stolen shortly after 3am.
The wall borders onto an Arboretum greenbelt and there is the possibility the bricks may have been chiseled loose some time before the break-in.
The wall was immediately repaired.
