Grade 8s welcomed to eShowe High
eShowe High School has hosted their annual Grade 8 orientation on the weekend
OVER the last few years the eShowe High School has hosted their annual Grade 8 orientation on the weekend before the school term starts.
Teachers, prefects and mentors presented the two-day adventure, which allows the newcomers an opportunity to find out more about the school before term starts.
The programme is run in conjunction with the teaching staff and prefects.
Deputy Principal Eddie Curtis, heads of departments and the prefects address the pupils on what is expected of them.
But it is not all lectures, other activities include a team building challenge and the school’s version of ‘the amazing race’.
The orientation is important for these pupils from primary school, as they get a chance to integrate with fellow pupils and make new friends.
