Twitter reacts: Oregon Wildlife Refuge occupation
It’s all at once appropriate as it is ridiculous

They’re calling them ‘Y’all Qaeda.’
Amid a land dispute rally, a group of armed militia occupied a federal building at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon, Saturday
According to The Oregonian, police officers were nowhere to be found during the rally at the site which led to several members seizing the headquarters at the refuge.
Soon after news broke of the occupation, the hashtag #YallQaeda was born, comparing the cowboy hat-wearing gunmen to Islamic terror groups; and it’s all at once appropriate as it is ridiculous.
Here are some of our favourite Twitter responses, coupled with a healthy dose of puns, dark humor and controversial opinion:
If your master plan is to overthrow the world's most powerful government and you attack a remote bird sanctuary you might be #YallQaeda

apparently the threats of armed white terrorists are less threatening than the very physical appearance of non-whites. #YallQaeda

We need moderate whites to speak up and show #YallQaeda that terrorism is not the way. Moderate whites must stop #YallQaeda

There's some strategic brilliance in seizing a remote desert hut with only one access road. These guys know their Clausewitz #YallQaeda
