Robbery comments uncalled for

BEING an avid reader of both the ZO newspaper and website, I was astounded at some of the comments on Facebook about the robbery of Zahid Hassim in The Rail.

It seems inhumane to me that people could say he deserved to be robbed.

I don’t know Mr Hassim personally, but who on earth deserves to have a gun pointed at him by cold-hearted criminals as his hard-earned money is forcibly taken from him?

Disregard the ‘mistakes’ he made, so quickly pointed out by the armchair warriors of Facebook.

This man has become the latest victim in a crime scourge that seems to be growing more arrogant by the day.

We should be lighting the torches, and grabbing the longest, sharpest pitchforks to go hunt them down.
