Call for peace and positivity

THE past year has been a dreadfully negative one, with bad news pouring in from around the globe on a daily basis.

This is not a happy time in our global history, and we have become accustomed to the onslaught of negative press coverage.

I am writing this letter to appeal to each and every member of our beautiful Zululand community: Please can we share only peace and love this festive season.

Let us all stand together and sing carols, light candles, break bread, love our neighbours, and spread only cheer and happiness.

It seems like a big ask – but is it really?

If we all took the decision today to stay positive – particularly on social media platforms – what a wonderful thing it would be!
