Housing dispute leads to murder

Njabulo Ntuli allegedly sold the RDP house to Sibusiso Msoco Buthelezi and then murdered him.

THE Mtunzini High Court heard how the body of Sibusiso Msoco Buthelezi (50) was found buried in a shallow grave in bushes in the Nhlanhleni area, Hlabisa.

Njabulo Ntuli (34), confessed that he assaulted, stabbed, burnt and buried the body of Buthelezi.

Investigations showed that Ntuli had sold an RDP house to victim and after receiving the money, decided to kill Buthelezi so that he could own the house again.

On Friday, 27 November, Ntuli was found guilty and sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment for murder.

Buthelezi had gone missing on 8 November 2014 and a case of a missing person was opened at Hlabisa SAPS for further investigation.

Members of the Hlabisa SAPS followed up an information about the suspect involved in the missing person docket.
