Clean Air Association on world map
Beijing shares local air quality monitoring information.
THE Richards Bay Clean Air Association (RBCAA) has gone global.
Much to their surprise and pride, the RBCAA has noted that data from its Brackenham, Mtunzini and CBD stations is being uploaded to a Beijing air pollution website.
‘They also have the eSikhaleni station on the site but no data,’ said RBCAA Director, Sandy Camminga.
‘We have made contact with them via the details on their website, to see if we can offer assistance in getting our other stations onto their network, and to give them the correct co-ordinates for our stations – they haven’t got the locations quite right.
‘We are proud to say that on the World Map, the RBCAA stations are the only air quality monitoring stations represented on the African continent.
‘The World Map reflects whichever RBCAA station is recording the highest values.’
