Thanda look to bright future

Thanda Royal take on FC Cape Town at the uMhlathuze Stadium TODAY at 3.30pm.

BOOSTED by the arrival of an experienced new coach, Thanda Royal Zulu FC will be looking to take three points from their match against FC Cape Town at the uMhlathuze Stadium on Saturday, kick-off 3.30pm.

Former Black Leopards coach Major David Bright has joined the Amabhubesi and the Botswana-born leader will want to start his local tenure on a positive note.

True to his military title, Bright is a master tactician and has definite thoughts on how to achieve success.

‘In my first meeting with the squad we discussed the philosophy of football.

‘I am very impressed with the technical skills of the players; they have no problem on the ball or in scoring goals.

‘But results so far confirm they have conceded far too many goals and we are already working on defensive systems.’

Saturday’s Cape visitors are languishing second from bottom on the NFD table and one would think Thanda should easily win this encounter, but they have failed before against lowly placed sides and will have to strike top form to gain the victory.
