ESHOWE detectives together with members of the Empangeni Flying Squad and K9 Unit as well as Tracker have arrested two hijacking suspects.
According to reports the plain clothes detectives were nearing the Nkwalini intersection on the R34, an infamous hijacking spot, when they saw four armed men attempt to hijack a vehicle just after 2pm yesterday.
The Empangeni units and Tracker responded.
A short while later one of the suspects was apprehended, while a K9 unit member tracked the second, also apprehending him.
Police also recovered two firearms.
The remaining two suspects are still at large.
