A FEMALE policeman was wounded during a bank robbery in Stanger early this morning.
According to a source on the scene, a gang of men armed with rifles broke into Standard Bank at about 2am.
Details are sketchy, however during the robbery a police officer was shot and three security guards wounded.
The gang made off with a police and security vehicle.
According to the source, the gang drove off on R74 towards Maphumulo.
