Leaity dominates on astroturf
Local hockey player Cade Leaity is reaping reward on the hockey turf.
ZULULAND hockey star, Cade Leaity, a pupil at Northwood Boy’s High School in Durban, has been dribbling circles around his opposition on the astroturf.
Leaity has been playing for his school’s U16 team, currently ranked number one in outdoor and indoor hockey in KZN, a team that has only lost one match in two years.
But that’s not all, Leaity was selected for the KZN School’s U16 team last year and this year.
He played a major role in his side’s success in claiming the title at the SA U16 Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) held at Kearsney College earlier this year.
As a boarder he spends most of his days in Durban and therefore plays club hockey for the Crusaders Club in Durban North.
He was recently nominated as both Player of the Year for Crusaders and Northwood Junior Hockey player of the year.
He has had a hugely successful season and will hopefully receive the reward by winning both awards.
