A 30-year-old eNseleni man was sentenced to life imprisonment yesterday at the Empangeni Regional Court for the rape of his stepbrother.
Raped last year, the then 10-year-old boy was asleep in his room when his older stepbrother woke him and instructed him not to scream while he sexually violated the child.
The boy reported the incident to his mother two days later and the Empangeni SAPS arrested the man.
Empangeni Family Violence and Child Protection Unit took over the investigation and presented evidence in the Empangeni Regional Court where a successful conviction and sentence was handed down.
