Armed robbers hit Empangeni ATM

For the second time in a month, the ATMs at Boxer store have been hit.

 

A WELL organised gang of armed robbers made off with a large amount of cash after holding up four security guards in Empangeni.

The robbery occurred just before 8am this morning, while the guards were loading cash into ATM’s near Boxer Superstore in The Rail.

It is believed four men armed with pistols confronted the guards while a another man stood guard.

According to unconfirmed reports, the thugs stole R600 000.

This is the second time in a month a Boxer store has been plagued by armed robbers.
