Thanda itching to get on the pitch

Thanda vow to hit back hard against Milano United today.

THANDA Royal Zulu FC are out to prove a point …or three… today.

Unlucky to have lost 1-0 after conceding a soft goal despite dominating the game against Vasco in a cold and miserable Cape Town last week, Amabhubesi are playing back home on Saturday, full of confidence as they face Milano United.

‘We were far better than Vasco and should have scored at least three goals,’ said Thanda COO, Jomo Biyela.

‘But fans must not despair by any means; we will show them this week how things are about to change.

‘For the first time this season we will be at full strength, welcoming back from injury some players who have not even taken the field this year.

‘Remember, we lost seven of our best players at the end of last season and you can’t create a fully functioning team overnight.

‘At practice this week you could just see the enthusiasm and spirit – they are hungry for three points.’

Among those back in the fray on Saturday is the dominant figure of Chris Komane, who is sure to make a tangible difference.

Kick-off at the uMhlathuze Stadium is 3pm.
