10 injured in Empangeni N2 taxi crash

A taxi avoiding a stationary vehicle collided with a bakkie.

MOTORISTS experienced heavy delays this morning after a taxi and a bakkie collided on the N2 near the University of Zululand off ramp.

According to reports from the scene, the taxi had attempted to avoid a stationary vehicle in the left hand lane when he collided with a bakkie.

KZN EMS paramedics treated 10 people for minor injuries before transporting them to Ngwelezana Hospital.

The scene was cleared just after 11am, however, motorists are urged to drive cautiously as the heavy backlog will cause more delays.
