THANDA Royal Zulu expect to take full points when they host Baroka FC at the uMhlathuze Stadium today (Saturday).
Amabhubesi remain winless after drawing all three of their games this season, but there are a few reasons for confidence going into this fixture.
The first is that they are still unbeaten in the current NFD campaign – despite at times not having major players available.
The second is that they are finding the back of the net with regularity and have notched up an equal number of goals (5) as the top scorers in the league.
Thirdly, and most important, they have shown tremendous character in having come from behind each time to share the spoils.
This also indicates good fitness levels.
An added positive is that they have generally taken over and bossed the matches and could easily have won all three.
It’s a new side and head coach Thami Ngubane is still experimenting to find the best combinations and playing style.
Thanda have, to my knowledge, never lost against Baroka – home or away.
And there is no reason why this time should be any different.
