More Mtuba water woes

Residents of the greater Mtubatuba area are once again without water, the cause of which is thought to be a ruptured pipe or valve at a water filling station.

IN water starved Mtubatuba and surrounding areas, people become enraged when this scarce commodity is blatantly wasted.

A burst valve at the water filling station outside Mtuba Christian Academy was last week left unattended until residents complained en masse to the Mtubatuba Municipality. Municipal officers then relayed the message to the uMkhanyakude District Municipality that is responsible for water distribution.

WSSA, the company contracted by the district municipality for water services was informed and while the leak appeared to have been repaired on Thursday.

By by Friday water was again gushing out of the same section of pipe again leaving residents of Mtubatuba and surrounding areas without water.
