Dance groups travelled from the far ends of Zululand to Indonsa Centre in Ulundi on Saturday to try and impress the judges and get a shot to perform at the uShaka Marine World.
The judges offered guidance as to how some groups could improve their acts.
One of the main criticisms was the lack of uniformity and originality of costumes.
One of the judges Sthabile Mdluli said, ‘The acts need to stand out in some way to be noticed. Choreography in some of the acts also needs to be improved.’
