A YOUNG man who terrorised and sexually abused a 24 year-old victim in Gingindlovu, was found guilty of rape and robbery at the eSikhawini Regional Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Nhlakanipho Mlanduli (19) was sentenced to life imprisonment on the rape charge and 15 years for robbery.
He was arrested and charged in March last year after the victim reported the matter to the police.
During the court case it was revealed that Mlanduli forcefully broke into the house at night while the victim was asleep.
He pointed a firearm at her and raped her in front of her 10-year-old niece.
