Zululander’s project goes national

Minister of Basic Education embraces Caring4Girls initiative

ZULULANDER Richard Mabaso’s Caring4Girls project, launched in Zululand in 2010, is fast expanding to the rest of the country.

Mabaso’s Imbumba Foundation initiative started empowering underprivileged girls with the provision of sanitary pads in local schools, but has since expanded to other provinces.

Earlier this month he partnered with Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga to launch his initiative in Mpumalanga.

‘We are very proud of Mabaso for his dedication to support young women through his Caring4Girls initiative.

‘This programme is fast making waves across the country, making a huge difference in many schoolgirls’ lives,’ said Motshekga.

The Minister confirmed her unwavering support for the project.
